• PAST PRESIDENT OF ALS SOCIETY OF MANITOBA, SUCCUMBS TO DISEASE

IT IS WITH GREAT SADNESS THAT WE MUST ANNOUNCE THE PASSING OF MARCEL BERTRAND, PAST PRESIDENT OF ALS SOCIETY OF MANITOBA.  Marcel was the face and voice of The Society since 2000, the year he was diagnosed with ALS.  Not only did he stand as President of the ALS Society of Manitoba for two terms, he was also the driving force behind the renovating and opening of Brummitt-Feasby ALS House, a home with care and support for persons living with ALS and the first of its kind in North America.

He was an inspiration to everyone he met and will continue to be for many years to come.
